Overview of national and international projects.

Projects of the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia

The project examines how patterns of digital media use influence the development of young people’s identity, taking into account digital literacy and personality traits. The sample consists of secondary school and university students, and data are collected longitudinally through social media profile monitoring, narratives, and questionnaires.

The project examines the criminological and penological, psychological, sociological, legal, and security aspects of the quality of prison life in Serbia, with particular emphasis on the position of convicted persons.

International Projects

The project developed a virtual learning environment for independent English language learning for adults with different types of disabilities, as well as guides for English language teachers, educators, and IT professionals. The platform is based on the principles of universal design.

January 2020, Belgrade
Final international partner meeting, hosted by FASPER (23–24 January). Topics included resolving issues with the platform, the testing plan, and administrative and financial matters.

December 2019, Belgrade
Panel discussion titled “Supporting Persons with Disabilities in Learning English”, where the project publications and platform were presented. Speakers: Prof. Dr Branislav Brojčin, Prof. Dr Nenad Glumbić, and Maja Ivančević Otanjac. The event was attended by 62 participants.

September 2019, Aveiro
Partner meeting at which the results of the pilot testing of the first version of the platform and the necessary modifications were analysed.

July 2019, Burgos
Platform testing (22–26 July), involving 14 persons with special educational needs and researchers from five countries. A six-member team from Serbia participated.

June 2019, Istanbul
Presentation of the paper “Results of the Application of the Quick Placement Test to Persons with Disabilities” at the 10th International Conference “Improving the Quality of Life of Children and Youth.”

April 2019, Belgrade
