Programme Priorities
In the broadest sense, the Erasmus+ programme has the following priorities:
Improving all levels of education
Strengthening links between formal, non-formal and informal learning
Increasing mobility within the European education area
Connecting countries in terms of education policies
| Programme Countries All European Union countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey, North Macedonia, and, since 2019, Serbia. Institutions from programme countries may participate in all parts of the programme. | Partner Countries Primarily countries in regions neighbouring the European Union, as well as all other countries worldwide. Until 2019, Serbia was a partner country in the Western Balkans region; since 2019, it has participated as a full programme country. |
Incoming and Outgoing Mobility
Mobility enables students of the Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation to develop personal and professional skills at another higher education institution outside their country of residence, while gaining insight into and mastering different approaches to the education and rehabilitation of persons with developmental difficulties and disabilities.
| Incoming Mobility International students may undertake study mobility at the Faculty at all three levels of study through the programmes and agreements listed below. | Outgoing Mobility Faculty students may spend up to two semesters on mobility within a single level of study through the programmes listed below. |
Students can undertake Erasmus+ mobility within the network of universities with which the University of Belgrade has signed inter-institutional (Erasmus) agreements. The University of Belgrade has developed the centralized MOBION platform, which provides all information about this type of mobility, including the list of universities, open calls, procedures before, during, and after the mobility period, scholarship amounts, and more.
To begin the mobility application process, students need to create an account on the MOBION platform (opens in a new tab).
CEEPUS is a Central European university exchange programme that provides students and professors at higher education institutions with opportunities for academic mobility. The programme includes public universities from Austria, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro and the Czech Republic. In each participating country, the programme is administered by a national CEEPUS office.
More information about the programme and scholarships is available from the National CEEPUS Office (opens in a new tab) and ceepus.info (opens in a new tab).
Students of the University of Belgrade, including FASPER students, may undertake mobility during their studies at a university or faculty with which the University of Belgrade has signed a cooperation agreement. These mobility programmes usually exempt students from tuition fees at the partner university or faculty, but do not provide additional financial support to cover living expenses during the study period.
Individual mobility refers to student mobility at a university or faculty with which the University of Belgrade has no signed cooperation agreement and does not participate in a joint network or funding programme. In this type of mobility, students usually cover both their living expenses abroad and tuition fees at the host university.
Students select the host institution where they will undertake their mobility, whether for study purposes or professional practice. Host institutions are selected in accordance with the inter-institutional agreements in place.
Before the mobility period, the student and the Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation conclude a Learning Agreement, which defines the recognition of examinations passed at another higher education institution. A Learning Agreement covering part of a study programme completed at another higher education institution for one semester may not include fewer than 19 ECTS credits. The courses included in the relevant study programme of the Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation that sufficiently correspond to the courses attended and passed at the other higher education institution must account for at least 10 ECTS credits.
Master’s and doctoral students may propose the recognition of 10 ECTS credits in their Learning Agreement for scientific research and preparation of a master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation project, respectively. Courses whose content differs significantly from the content corresponding to the learning outcomes defined by the study programme are recorded separately in the Diploma Supplement. ECTS credits earned in this way are not included in the total number of credits required for completion of the study programme.
During the mobility period, the Learning Agreement may be amended in consultation with the Vice-Dean for Research and the ECTS Coordinator.
Incoming and Outgoing Staff Mobility
| Incoming Mobility Faculty teaching staff and associates may undertake mobility at the Faculty for the same purposes. Non-teaching staff may undertake mobility at another higher education institution in accordance with the rules of the call. | Outgoing Mobility Faculty teaching staff and associates may undertake mobility at a higher education institution abroad for the same purposes. Non-teaching staff may undertake mobility at another higher education institution in accordance with the rules of the call. |
